About the Guild of Writers

The Guild of Writers was created by fan response when Cyan Worlds, Inc. released the age Kirel in Episode Seven their Massively Multiplayer Online Game, Myst Online: Uru Live. The age enabled explorers to don "Guild Supporters" T-Shirts for five specific D'ni Guilds. The Guild of Writers as we know it today evolved out of the determination of those who wore the Writers' Shirts and the merging of several, previously separate, Uru content creation groups.

Writing

With the closure of Myst Online: Uru Live, we were never able to reach our initial goal: creation of custom content for MOUL. However, we hold out hope that, should another incarnation of Uru Live arise, we will be allow to contribute content to it. However, we still are still free to create content for Uru Ages Beyond Myst. To create said content we use a free, open source modeling tool called Blender, coupled primarily with our own tool PyPRP, which exports files readable by the Plasma Engine that Uru uses.
